Role Overview

Electrum is seeking an Insurance Assistant Manager to lead insurance partnership management and day-to-day claims handling for Electrum's fleet, ensuring policies are active, claims are submitted properly, approval rate improves, and claim recovery supports healthier fleet economics. 

You will work closely with operations, supply chain, finance, and external vendors/insurers to drive efficient claims handling and recovery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day coordination with insurance partners, brokers, and internal operational teams.
  • Oversee claim submission process end-to-end, including document completeness, status tracking, approval follow-up, and issue escalation.
  • Ensure policy registration and insurance administration are accurate, timely, and properly reconciled. 
  • Monitor claim ratio, approval rate, rejection reasons, and turnaround time, drive actions to improve performance. 
  • Identify operational gaps that cause claim rejection or delay and work cross-functionally to fix them.
  • Support negotiation and implementation of smoother claim process, SLA, and operational controls with partners. 
  • Prepare regular management reporting on policy coverage, claims pipeline, claim recovery, and key risks. 
  • Act as internal subject matter owner for insurance process discipline and continuous improvement. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field (Engineering, Business, or related)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive insurance, fleet insurance, claims handling, broker or insurer-side operational roles. 
  • Strong understanding of policy administration, claim processes, documentation, insurer coordination, and claim follow-up. 
  • Able to manage day-to-day relationship with insurers, brokers, and internal stakeholders to improve approval and turnaround time. 
  • Comfortable tracking claim ratio, identifying leakage or rejection root causes, and improving process discipline. 
  • High ownership, strong communication, persistent follow-through, and able to balance operational detail with stakeholder management.
