Role Overview

Electrum is seeking a Battery Operations Manager to lead end-to-end battery operations across its electric mobility ecosystem. This role is responsible for ensuring battery availability, performance, safety, and lifecycle efficiency at scale.

You will work cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, data, and field teams to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Battery Operations

• Manage daily battery operations: deployment, swapping, charging, and retrieval
• Ensure optimal battery availability across all operational areas
• Improve utilization, turnaround time, and operational efficiency

Performance & Lifecycle Management

• Monitor battery health metrics (SoH, cycle count, degradation)
• Develop and implement strategies to extend battery lifespan
• Oversee repair, refurbishment, and end-of-life processes

Process & SOP Development

• Establish and standardize operational SOPs
• Ensure compliance with safety and handling standards
• Identify and implement process improvements

Data & Reporting

• Analyze operational and performance data to identify issues and opportunities
• Define and track KPIs (availability, downtime, failure rate, turnaround time)
• Work with data teams to improve visibility and tracking systems

Cross-functional Coordination

• Collaborate with engineering on diagnostics and product improvements
• Align with supply chain on inventory planning and forecasting
• Support field teams in troubleshooting and execution

Team Leadership

• Lead and manage operations teams (HQ and field)
• Set targets, monitor performance, and drive accountability
• Build operational discipline and a safety-first culture

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field
• 5–8+ years in operations, logistics, or asset-heavy environments
• Experience in EV, battery systems, or energy sector preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Proven experience managing field operations and teams
• Familiarity with safety standards in battery handling is a plus
• Strong stakeholder management and execution skills
