As we continue to expand our product development capabilities, we are looking for a Senior Engineer – Bike Hardware Development to lead the design and engineering of core motorcycle hardware systems.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the development of motorcycle hardware systems including chassis, frame, mechanical components, and structural assemblies for electric motorcycles.
Translate product requirements into detailed engineering designs, CAD models, and technical specifications.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including powertrain, battery, electrical, software, and manufacturing engineering to ensure system integration.
Conduct design validation, prototyping, and testing to ensure performance, safety, and reliability standards are met.
Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to support DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) processes.
Analyze engineering problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement design improvements throughout the product lifecycle.
Support vehicle prototype builds, testing programs, and product validation activities.
Ensure hardware designs comply with regulatory standards, quality requirements, and industry best practices.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building Electrum’s hardware engineering capability.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
5–10+ years of experience in motorcycle, automotive, or mobility hardware development.
Strong experience in mechanical design and structural systems for vehicles.
Proficiency with CAD tools (such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar).
Experience with prototype development, mechanical testing, and validation processes.
Familiarity with vehicle development lifecycle and product engineering processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate concepts into manufacturable designs.
Experience working with suppliers, manufacturing teams, and external partners is highly preferred.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional engineering environments.
