Role Overview

Electrum is seeking a QC Associate to support quality control across its infrastructure operations, covering battery units and battery swapping stations (BSS). This role ensures all infrastructure assets meet defined quality, safety, and operational standards before and during deployment.

You will work closely with infrastructure, engineering, and field operations teams to identify issues early, enforce standards, and maintain consistent performance across the network.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Inspection

• Perform inspections on batteries and battery swapping stations (incoming, pre-deployment, and in-field)
• Verify compliance with technical specifications and quality standards
• Identify defects, inconsistencies, and potential safety risks

Testing & Validation

• Conduct functional checks on BSS units (charging, swapping mechanism, connectivity)
• Support battery checks (basic health indicators, physical condition, labeling compliance)
• Ensure readiness before deployment or after maintenance

Issue Identification & Reporting

• Document defects, failures, and non-compliance findings
• Escalate critical issues to engineering or relevant teams
• Track recurring issues and support root cause analysis

Process & SOP Compliance

• Ensure all inspections follow established SOPs and safety guidelines
• Support development and refinement of QC procedures
• Enforce documentation standards across all QC activities

Field Coordination

• Work with field operations during installation, maintenance, and audits
• Conduct periodic site checks for BSS performance and condition
• Ensure corrective actions are implemented and verified

Data & Reporting

• Maintain QC logs, inspection reports, and issue trackers
• Monitor defect rates, failure trends, and quality KPIs
• Provide insights to improve product and operational quality

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related)
• 1–3 years of experience in QC, QA, or technical operations
• Experience in EV, battery systems, or hardware/infrastructure is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to standards
• Basic understanding of electrical/mechanical systems
• Comfortable working in field environments when required
• Able to document findings clearly and systematically
