Tax Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Specialist to lead day-to-day tax compliance and reporting for Electrum. This role will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant tax processes while partnering with Finance and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

1. Calculate, prepare, and submit monthly and annual tax returns, including:
   a. Withholding Tax (PPh 21, PPh 23, PPh 4(2), PPh 26, and other applicable taxes)
   b. Corporate Income Tax installments (PPh 25)
   c. Value Added Tax (VAT/PPN)
   d. Annual Corporate Income Tax Return
2. Prepare tax payments and ensure all payments and filings are completed accurately and on time.
3. Reconcile tax records with the general ledger and supporting documents.
4. Review invoices, contracts, and transactions to determine the appropriate tax treatment.
5. Prepare and maintain tax working papers, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
6. Monitor tax compliance deadlines and maintain the company’s tax calendar.
7. Handle tax correspondence, clarification letters, and requests from the tax authorities.
8. Support tax audits, tax objections, appeals, and other tax dispute processes.
9. Liaise with tax authorities, external tax consultants, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
10. Identify potential tax exposures and recommend corrective actions.
11. Monitor changes in Indonesian tax regulations and assess their impact on the company.
12. Support tax planning initiatives while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
13. Assist with transfer pricing documentation and related-party transaction reviews, when applicable.
14. Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to tax accounts.
15. Maintain proper documentation in accordance with company policies and tax regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation (S1) from reputable university
• Having Brevet A & B certification is a must, having Brevet C certification would be a great plus point.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in tax, with a focus on retail and automotive sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations, particularly those relevant to manufacturing, retail, and VAT.
• Experience in preparing corporate income tax returns, VAT filings, withholding tax, and other related tax compliance matters.
• Past experiences in a start-up, e-commerce, technology, or similar environment are preferable.
